Frequently asked questions
Is there a transaction fee for online payments?
ChalkPis does not add any platform fee. The standard Razorpay or PhonePe processing fee (typically 1.5 to 2%) applies. Schools can choose to pass this to parents or absorb it.
Can parents pay in installments?
Yes. Admins define installment schedules per fee type and class. Parents see upcoming installments in the app and receive reminders before each due date.
Can I generate fee receipts and demand letters in bulk?
Yes. Digital receipts generate automatically for every payment. Demand letters for pending fees can be produced individually or in bulk for all defaulters in one click.
Does fee data connect to the school's own accounting?
Yes. Every fee collection posts as income directly to Financial Accounting, so revenue and the school's books stay in sync without manual reconciliation.
